After School

BCS- ENYFA’S Youth Stand After-School promotes education and youth development, creativity and leadership skills, literacy and critical thinking, fitness and nutrition, high school readiness and community service.

Good Shepherd Services’ Groundwork for Success is a four-year program that prepares our high school students for success in high school and college. Groundwork for Success begins to work with young “scholars” the summer before ninth grade and continues to help them develop throughout their time in high school. Students are tutored in English, Algebra and other Core Curriculum subjects to enhance their educational growth

SAT Test Prep Workshop Series for 11th and 12th graders shows students what to expect on test day and helps them build their confidence and test-taking skills. Instructors break down the exam (format, timing, structure, and the types of questions) and cover both ELA, Math (algebra, problem solving, data analysis and geometry), grammar, writing clearly, strategies for answering multiple choice questions and analysis of incorrect responses. Students also learn valuable personal development skills that will address self-esteem, affirmations, and time management.
